Membership

To become a member of CanSPEP a member must meet the following criteria:

  • Self-employed Event Planner
  • 60% of annual income must be a result of event planning revenue
  • Retain 10 employees or less

Full Membership (Voting)

To obtain a Full Membership the applicant must be a self-employed Event Planner. Membership includes the right to vote, eligibility to hold a position on the Board of Directors and Committees, and the applicant agrees to abide by CanSPEP’s Code of Ethics.

Annual Fee $225.00 plus a one-time administration fee of $50.00 plus GST

Associate membership (Voting)

To obtain an Associate Membership, the applicant must be an employee of a self-employed Event Planner who holds a Full Membership in CanSPEP. Membership includes the right to vote, eligibility to hold a position on the Board of Directors and Committees, and the applicant agrees to abide by CanSPEP’s Code of Ethics.

Annual Fee $200.00 plus a one-time administration fee of $50.00 plus GST

Student Membership (Non-Voting)

To obtain a Student Membership, the applicant must be a Full-Time student in the event planning industry and provide a copy of the current Full-Time student I.D. Membership does not include a position on the Board of Directors, though members are encouraged to participate on Committees. The applicant agrees to abide by CanSPEP’s Code of Ethics.

Annual fee $75.00 plus a one-time administration fee of $50.00 plus GST

Suppliers and Corporate Event Planners

  • Suppliers are welcome to participate in the Annual Conference, Supplier Showcase and encouraged to attend other CanSPEP events.
  • An event planner employed by a company is not eligible to be a member, but are welcome to participate in CanSPEP events at Non-Member rates.
